The third annual festival was held, as before, at Newton-le-Willows Sports Club,
The good weather and a great selection of ales and ciders made the festival
an outstanding success. We ended up on the Saturday night with only a few
gallons of ale left and almost sixty empty casks. Once all the bills had been
paid we ended up with a profit in excess of £8000 which has been a welcome
boost to the Charity account.
